Michigan auto no fault townhall meeting

CPAN panel

I put on my social work hat this past week. I was invited to participate on a panel to a town hall meeting addressing Michiga’s auto no fault law change. Cousin Terry was also on the panel.

We received awesome news last month when the Michigan state Supreme Court upheld a civil suit against auto insurance companies. But fee schedules still need to be negotiated. And those injured after 2019 receive no benefits.

I was invited to give the consumer perspective of how the Michigan auto no fault Insurance changes affected me. I did some prep work beforehand and dictated the points I wanted to make on my notes app.

Terry held the microphone for me. Right at the beginning of the presentation, my notes accidentally deleted.

Oh crap! I thought. There goes my presentation.

Fortunately, I winged through my six minute presentation without a panic attack and got my points across of how the law change affected me. The overall meeting went well and was informative.

There is still a lot to sort through. This is why continued advocacy is needed with our state government. The link below provides more information regarding this issue.

  1. WAY TO GO! You are incredibly well-spoken and I’m so pleased you were able to still articulate well what you wanted to convey. I’m grateful for Terry being right there on that panel too.
