Hello, my name is Howard Falkinburg and thanks for visiting. On October 23, 2018, I was in a catastrophic auto accident that left me as a quadriplegic. I hit a concrete reinforced lamppost going perhaps 15 miles an hour in a parking lot. I never saw it due to the blinding sun through the windshield. At this writing (June 28, 2021), I have been in rehabilitation for 2 ½ years because of numerous medical complications and setbacks. I reside in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was a practicing social worker prior to the accident. One of my goals is to work again and have taken continuing education courses to maintain my social work license. My mother lives in Florida and I have two younger siblings that live out of state. I have fantastic supports from my family and friends.
