Introducing my new friend, Snappy

I’m truly blessed to have fantastic family and friends. Calvin University’s nature preserve is just a seven minute ride from home in my wheelchair. This is a mini escape off-campus place I can spend a couple hours.

There is a small man-made pond on campus. And sometimes get disrupted from people walking the campus.

My good friend, Monique, paid me a visit recently. After having lunch, we took a stroll out on a deck that overlooked the small pond. After five minutes, this curious snapping turtle, whom I will call snappy, swims up to us.

Snappy did hang out for 15 minutes waiting to be fed. We did not Bring anything to feed. You finally got fed up (no pun intended) and swam away.

So I ask you, what do snapping turtles eat besides fish?

Where’s my damn food?

Ah, the hell with this.
